Basic Level Programme

Overview

This basic program (Ibtidaaiyyah) is so flexible and yet intensive, designed to seamlessly simplify Arabic and Islamic studies for those who do not, or have little prior knowledge in Arabic and Islamic studies and wish to achieve basic competency in it. It has four main components: Arabic language Hadith, Fiqh and Seerah (Biography of the Prophet). 

Students enrolling into this program should, after its successful completion, be able to read, write and communicate in a simple and correct Arabic language. They will also have basic knowledge in Fiqh, Hadith and Seerah of the Prophet, may peace and blessing of Allah be upon him.

Mode of learning

ONE-ON-ONE: Our classes are personal classes that are customized just for you. You will be able to interact with a qualified instructor in real time one on one without other students.  Taking a class at home or from wherever you wish on a personalized schedule is super comfortable.

Course feature

Arabic Language:

In Arabic language, the course is tailored towards developing student’s skills in speaking, reading and writing simple but standard Arabic. It will include a wide range of literary and non-literary reading materials to improve essential comprehension skills. Students will be trained to write simple, clear and correct Arabic. It will cover the rules of grammar and syntax (Nahw and Sarf). By the end of the course, students should be able to understand how sentences are constructed in Arabic and how different elements relate to each other and how their relation affects meaning. 

Islamic Studies:

Our Islamic studies have three components, namely Hadith, Fiqh and Seerah.

• Hadith: Students will mainly study those hadiths that are concerned with worship. They will learn proper reading of those hadiths, its meaning and the grammatical importance of some words in those hadith. 

• Fiqh: In Fiqh, the focus shall be restricted to purity and the act of worship with proper understanding of them. 

• Seerah: In Seerah, the biography of the prophet will be taught from the beginning of his life till his death. 

Duration

The duration of the program is 1 complete year of intensive study split into 6 levels, each level comprises of 8 teaching weeks, exam period and a week-long break.

It is our hope that this intensive course will provide students with secure foundation on which they can build intelligent, informed practice of their religion, and from which they can precede to deeper study of Arabic and Islamic studies insha Allah.

Objective

• To train students on how to gain basic competency in Arabic and Islamic studies. 
• To train them on how to read and speak basic classical Arabic
• To facilitate basic understanding of some fundamental knowledge in Islam

Duration

It is a year-long program split into 6 levels, each level comprising 8 weeks.

Language of Instruction

The programme would be taught in English or Yoruba language. We will ask you about your preferred language in our application form and will enrol you in classes offered in your preferred language.

Cost of Programme

ONE-ON-ONE: ₦15,000 (per month).

Admission Requirement

The student should be able to read and write simple Arabic.

Assessment

Students will be assessed partially every 7th week of this program and fully at the end of the program
