This programme is not the end but the beginning, shaping the knowledge and discipline that will stay with you forever.
Introduction
The Basic level is a rigorous three-year program designed to build a solid foundation in Arabic language proficiency and core Islamic sciences. The focus during this stage is on developing fluency in reading, writing, and the ability to express oneself in simple yet correct Arabic.
This level is carefully structured to immerse students in intensive memorization, as they commit to memory a wide range of texts. This memorization-based approach prepares them for the intermediate stage (Al-I‘dādiyyah), where the focus shifts to comprehension, reflection, and application of the knowledge they’ve internalized.
By the end of the Basic Level, students are expected to:
- Read and write Arabic with confidence and accuracy
- Express themselves more comfortably in Arabic
- Carry a deep reservoir of memorized texts
- Cultivate a genuine enthusiasm for further Islamic learning
This stage is not merely preparatory, but rather transformational. It shapes students into passionate seekers of knowledge who are ready to advance to higher levels of study with confidence and clarity.
